I was broke. So I settled on a lap steel \u2013 an 8&#8217;string Fender from the late 40&#8217;s. I&#8217;ve owned it ever since. It has the right amount of &#8216;nock about&#8217; in the finish. The pots work, all electrics work and the pickup is THE sound I wanted to use as my C6 neck. (I used to sit it on the top of the strings on my MSA 10 String Pedal Steel. It&#8217;s a &#8216;steal&#8217;.
